School Production 2024

Kings’ School Production of Bugsy Malone – Paul Williams.

It is 1929 in New York and the city is divided by gang warfare. On one side, Dandy Dan’s mob terrorise the district, taking out those they turn against with their new splurge guns. On the other side, Dandy Dan’s rival, Fat Sam, runs his successful Grand Slam Speakeasy.

When Fat Sam’s gang is brutally splurged and his empire is under threat, he engages the help of Bugsy Malone, a smooth-talking man about town. While Bugsy simultaneously attempts to woo Blousey Brown, the new-girl singer in town, he helps Fat Sam steal a fresh delivery of splurge guns from Dandy Dan. Leading to an all out whipped cream shoot out.

But can these gangs realise they are not so different after all and put aside the splurge, learning that “if you give a little love then it all comes back to you”?

With iconic songs, Charleston dancing and memorable characters come and join us in the Roaring 20’s at Fam Sam’s Grand Slam Speakeasy for a night to remember. #prepare2Bpied

Library Refurbishment

The removal of the temporary walls will open up the Fiction area, as well as cosmetic improvements such as a new carpet and window blinds.  New seating will allow pupils to read on their own in quiet spaces or with friends.   Additional space will be made available for displays and our book stock will be showcased on fixed bays as well as movable shelving. We think a fresh new reading space is just what the Kings’ Community needs, and we look forward to welcoming one and all to our sparkling new library.

Please help to support us, if you can. Any donations towards our refurb project would be really appreciated. Thank you.

We have applied for a Twinkl and Foyle Foundation grant to try and raise some much needed funds to allow us to purchase extra copies of books to benefit those that would benefit the most. We have also set up a supportyourschool page. The link is below.

Auditorium refurbishment

We aim to improve the facilities offered by our Tower building, which is home to our Auditorium and enjoyed not only by our pupils and staff but by a wide range of community groups. We are hoping that by refurbishing this wonderful space we will be able to offer this space to a wider audience.

Activities Days

Each year we are approached by some parents who wish to make a voluntary contribution to help the children from low income families have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities. This year we wanted to formalise this process – making it easier to make a voluntary contribution to help more activities become accessible to every pupil. If you would like to make a donation to support our school community, this can be done by clicking the below link.
